Course Instructor and Career Mentor: Joanne Viaud, CWEP
Joanne's passion for event planning began at a young age, organizing family events and her first wedding at just 17. Her collegiate years further fueled her dream of making event planning a full-time career.
After her marriage in 2005, Joanne moved to England to attend Law School at the University of Canterbury in Kent. Her time there was enriched by extensive travel across Europe, Asia, and Africa, where she immersed herself in diverse cultural celebrations.
In 2014, another move took Joanne and her husband to the Netherlands. There, she continued to deepen her expertise in event planning before returning to the United States in 2018, settling in Colleyville, Texas.
Joining Lovegevity in 2019, Joanne collaborated with industry professionals to develop a dynamic learning experience for her students. As a Certified Wedding & Event Planner, trained through Lovegevity at UTA, she combines textbook knowledge with hands-on experience, ensuring her students excel in event planning.
Joanne's excellence in teaching and planning has earned her accolades, including Best Instructor Spring 2020 and recognition in the Martha’s Vineyard Gazette for Best Island Wedding. In 2020, she launched her business, Timeless Events By Joanne, focusing on creating unforgettable events.
Outside of her professional life, Joanne cherishes time with her husband and poodle, Caymus. She enjoys traveling, reading, art, and music, always seeking inspiration for her next event.
