Types of Programs

Degrees or Certificates
Interested in earning a degree or certificate to advance your career? SUNY Broome Community College offers both short-term and long-term options for you! If you started a degree years ago, you might be surprised to learn that credits earned in the past may still be eligible for transfer to help you earn a degree today. Credit Courses
Even if you're not planning to earn a degree right now, taking a credit course is a great way to explore new fields or ease into returning to college. SUNY Broome offers a wide variety of credit courses across the curriculum, most of which are open to any student who meets the course prerequisites. Matriculation, which is required for graduation and many forms of financial aid, is available to students taking only a few classes at a time. Matriculated students are assigned an advisor to help plan their studies.

Non-Credit Courses
Looking to meet new people, learn a new hobby, hone your work skills, or explore something new just for fun? SUNY Broome Community College's Continuing Education Department offers non-credit classes for everyone to enjoy. With a focus on quality and innovation, our Continuing Education program has been monitoring the needs and interests of Broome County residents for 20 years to provide the most up-to-date programming possible.
